Planning A Display

Display Site:

In order to maintain the safety of the general public and the enjoyment of the chosen audience, Live Action FX will not consider firing a display on a site that is smaller than or does not have the following features:

A minimum distance between the audience and the first line of fireworks of 30 meters, a minimum firework firing area of 10 meters by 10 meters, a fallout zone (that does not contain people, livestock, cars, property or easily ignited materials - hay, straw, cut/dry grass, etc.) extending 100 meters from the display area in the direction of the prevailing wind.

The site should also have good access for the emergency services, in the unlikely event that they are required.

Surprise Parties:

You may be planning the display as a surprise for someone. If this is the case you may wish to choose a site that is hidden behind trees and bushes, so that your 'victim' does not see us setting up during the day. Alternatively, you might arrange for them to arrive after sunset or keep them busy, so that they don't spot what's in store for them.

Your Budget:

You will undoubtedly have a limit on how much you are willing or can afford to spend on your firework display.

As a rule of thumb, we recommend that you budget for at least £150 per minute, this will allow us to give you a continuous, exciting and spectacular display to crown your event - Our experience has taught us that spending less than £150 per minute leads to a disjoined and potentially boring display with annoying pauses and other undesirable aspects.

Here's a rough guide to the sort of budget you should be considering for your event:

Birthdays, Weddings, etc, £150 - £400 Per Minute.

November Celebrations, etc, £200 - £700 Per Minute.

Music Concerts, etc, £500 - £1000 Per Minute.

Corporate Functions, etc, £1000 + Per Minute.

F.A. Carling Premiership, etc, £6000 + Per Minute.

We have even fired displays with a budget of £10,000 per Minute.

Live Action FX are usually unable to provide displays with a value that is less than £700 - However, consideration will be given to charitable events, particularly those in our local area

(Berkshire & North Hampshire) .
