Special Effects (SFX)

Live Action FX have been providing Special Effects for Film, Stage and TV productions along with effects for other events (battle simulations, fireworks, etc.) for many years and our film credits include:

"Pseudo Realities", "Look Like The Innocent", "Still Buzzin' ", "Bare Knuckle", "Project Alchemy", "Hush Little Baby", "Wolves Of Kroma", "Silent Whisper", "The Hit", "Witchcraft X: Mistress of the Craft", "Hell For Leather", "Mexican Stand Off", "Wedgwood Experimental Film", "Killer In Me", "Twilight World", "Ramsleff", "John Wesley Harding", "Plato's Breaking Point", "Untitled" and more besides.

Live Action FX specialise in Pyrotechnic, Explosive and Fire Effects - We can simulate anything from small electrical sparks, through performer and prop bullet/laser hits up to car and building explosions and even the use of a tactical nuclear weapons! (see SFX Gallery for some examples).

We also have the facilities, skills and experience that allow us to provide Prosthetic Effects for film, stage and TV productions.

We can create custom built Prosthetic Make-Up pieces (and even full body suits) by sculpting directly onto the 'Life Cast' we make from the featured performer - this ensures a perfect fit.

The Prosthetics can be made to just about any design or we can even design them for you from scratch given a suitable brief. The final Prosthetic will be constructed from either (hot) foam latex or cold cure foam , as appropriate to it's design and final use (an example of our Prosthetics can be seen in the SFX Gallery, under "Project Alchemy").

Custom made Dental Prosthetics (false teeth) can also be made, be they whole sets (covering all of the performers own teeth) or individual/paired dentures that are colour matched to the performers own tooth colour (as for vampire and animal fangs).

Our Dental Prosthetics are made of dental acrylic (the same as standard dentures) we make our Prosthetic Teeth to fit the performer perfectly and without the need for dental adhesive.

They are generally designed to allow the performer to talk without a pronounced lisp and can even be built to allow the performer to eat reasonably normally while wearing them (talking and eating may take the performer a little practice, to master)- see the SFX Gallery under Dental Prosthetics - Fangs).
